Pilgrimage to Walsingham

A group of 11 children from school travelled to Walsingham in East Anglia to take part in the annual “Children’s Pilgrimage” organised by the Diocese of Chichester.
On the way we stopped at a service station and met up with lots of other children from other schools who were taking part. It was here that Father Mark blessed some water and sprinkled it on us.
The accommodation was very comfortable and we were very well looked after. The food was magnificent and we all ate a bit too much! The disco on Saturday night was amazing and really good fun.
Visiting the Holy House, walking the Holy Mile and taking part in a number of acts of worship was very exciting for children who were visiting for the first time or had been on previous occasions. Some children even got to help with readings, prayers and serving during Mass which was a real highlight.
We can’t wait to go back next year.
