Last week the children in KS 1 created their own parachutes. They worked well with a partner and used their negotiating and compromising skills to choose one design and create a parachute. We tried the parachutes by throwing them from the top of the stairs down to the playground. They all passed the test!
Last Friday, 15th May the children in Year 2,3 and 4 have begun to learn about the bacteria, viruses and fungi. They have learnt that there are good and bad microbes-some that cause the illness and some that help us to fight it.
At the end of the session they created their own microorganism.
What with currently spending more time at home what a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and learn how to save lives.
