Today we were lucky enough to have a visit from athlete ‘Darran Challis’ who has represented Great Britain at the 2016 Invictus games Orlando. We learnt about his career in the army and his passion for sports from a young age. Sadly he was medically discharged from the service due to an injury which also affected his ability to pursue his dream of being a professional runner. He spoke of the perseverance and resilience he required to overcome his injuries teaching the children that we can do achieve our goal and dreams with the correct mindset. The children were then lucky enough to perform a circuit session with Darran.
